The Author

Bluefish signingChristopher Gallo

loves baseball.  His passion for the game began at age six when he attended his first baseball game, the New York Yankees versus the Milwaukee Braves in the 1958 World Series.

He recently published his first book, Unlikely Champions: A Miracle in Williamsport, which celebrates 25th anniversary of how the 1989 Trumbull National Little League pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Little League World Series history when they knocked off a heavily-favored team from Taiwan.  This is an American baseball story, finally…and finely told.

After “retiring” in August 2012, Chris, who is a CPA, opened his own consulting firm, Christopher Gallo, CPA, LLC, which specializes in providing litigation support and forensic accounting services, helping entrepreneurs focus on making money, and assisting family-owned businesses in transition. www.christophergallocpa.com

Even in “retirement,” Chris remains an active volunteer in the community. He is a member of the Bridgeport Rotary Club, which he joined in 1986, and has held numerous leadership positions in Rotary.  He has been recognized as volunteer of the year at both the Club and District levels. Chris has also been on the Board of Directors of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA since 1989 and The School for Ethical Education since 2004. He is currently the Treasurer of each of these organizations.

Chris received his Bachelor of Arts in Applied Math from Brown University in 1974 and a Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University in 1975.

Chris and his wife Debbie live in Shelton and have 3 adult children, Jennifer, Chris and Jessica.
